COVID-19 has effected people's lives and the world's economy in a way like no other. Educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and workplace systems have all been largely changed in order to adapt to the presence of such a pandemic. Technology has become a large part of people's lives during the pandemic as more often than not technology was used to facilitate and meet people's needs during the pandemic; specifically the transition of the physical workplace to a digital and remote workspace.
This leads me to introduce: DARCI:
In October of 2020 I decided to take part and compete in the Global Learning Expedition. An online and highly interactive learning programme that is open to students from around the world through an application and acceptation process. The problem assigned to all competitors was how to "enable thriving in the online workplace." I led a global multi-disciplinary team of 3 students and ensured work was being done in a timely manner under a growth mindset.
I was fortunate enough to win first place with my team at this competition and was invited to showcase my work a month later at the Global Engineering Dean Forum.
